Folkestone, this artsy coastal town is boasting a vibrant colour palette, a plethora of vintage shops and street food, and is less than an hour’s train ride from central London. As I am writing now, it is still less hyped than Brighton so you can enjoy a peaceful time at the beach if you prefer it without the crowds.
